Enterprise and Data Integration (EDI) offers a collection of process-centric or workflow centric tools that allow application developers to create model and improve business processes with little or no coding. The processes are then deployed on EDI managed shared and dedicated services.

Overall purpose of role
Infrastructure Services is the organization which runs, builds and maintains the Bank's IT infrastructure. The B5 role translates to the EDI Informatica Support Lead position and is responsible for the delivery of EDI components within the project and ensuring BAU in PaaS-EDI operations.
A technical IT infrastructure lead providing project, monitoring & EDI infrastructure delivery and/or live systems support into the Barclays PaaS- EDI Informatica environments. The role provides exposure to leading edge software technology and underlying platforms operating mission critical services to the group.
Key Accountabilities
The planning & implementation of all changes to the components of a live infrastructure, from request for change or project initiation through to deployment and review, to support the continued availability, effectiveness and risk compliance of the infrastructure.
To drive & pro-actively maintain or enhance computer systems/ infrastructure components and services, maximizing use of available resources to ensure that business objectives are met and deliverables achieved to agreed timescale, budget and quality.
To own change and monitoring solutions, while ensuring no unplanned service outage.
To take responsibility for completing tasks, focusing on requirements and planning to meet client needs, which the job holder helps to identify, advise and recommend technical solutions based on experience and industry knowledge.
React quickly and as necessary to live systems errors and service problems to minimize downtime and restore service. Key focus will be required upon identification of root cause and implementation of permanent fix.

Person Specification
This position consists of delivering & maintaining EDI technologies and services to Barclays with a focus on building and supporting INFORMATICA suite of products. This position requires an ability to analyze project requirements and recommend the right INFORMATICA technology to fulfil those requirements. Perform proof-of-concepts, provide center-of-excellence, build and deliver infrastructure, and support/maintain the shared INFORMATICA utilities and dedicated farms. Additional responsibilities include technology and skills transfer within the team and throughout the development community and an ability to troubleshoot application runtime issues and INFORMATICA related problems. Primary technologies that require basic level proficiency:
• UNIX
• Shell Scripting (Linux or UNIX)
• SQL
• Infrastructure Knowledge.

• Informatica PowerCenter
