The Fiscus Model Execution Engine (MEE) platform offers self-service modelling capabilities to a user-base across Treasury through its rich and innovative HTML5/Javascript user interface. It is developed by a distributed team, with the future focus of the development team being in Pune with support from London.
Overall purpose of role:
o Develop new functionality for the MEE platform user interface. New features are required to support expanding modelling requirements and new data sources.
o Work with the rest of the team to progress items from discussing requirements with users, through build, automated test coverage and into the delivery pipeline to ensure quality is maintained throughout the process
o Maintain existing code base of the MEE user interface, ensuring existing functionality continues to work and quality is maintained or improved where such opportunities exist
Key Accountabilities.
o Participate in the design, build, documentation and testing of solutions to assigned user stories
o Work with users, business analysts and development leads to ensure requirements for stories are well-understood and feasible
o Participate in Agile Sprint ceremonies – in particular, be involved in the estimating and committing process as well as open and transparent demonstrations of delivered items.
o Contribute to the DevOps initiatives of the team by being involved in the delivery pipeline right through to production
Skills Required.
o HTML5/Javascript Development: Demonstrable, user-interface development experience in HTML5 and Javascript including the use of AngularJS
o Experience of dealing with stakeholders throughout the lifecycle of stories – i.e. discussing requirements through to signing off testing – desirable but not essential
o Experience of interacting with RESTful web services – desirable, but not essential
o Teamwork
o ability to communicate clearly and articulately, both verbally and in writing
o experience with working in a distributed team is highly desirable
