Job Title : Fraud Analyst (Customer Verification Team) Night shift

Location: Barclaycard House 1234 Pavilion Drive Northampton NN4 7SG
Hours: 10pm-8am 4 days on and 4 off.

Pay Rate £20,200 per year + 15% shift premium (25% on Sunday)

About Barclaycard Fraud Operations

The Barclaycard Fraud Operations department consists of multiple teams investigating and preventing fraud 7 days a week. The department has around 120 colleagues working together to fight fraud, reduce fraud losses and provide a great customer journey where applicable.

Overall purpose of role

To investigate fraud for the purpose of reducing losses and increasing preventions, using a variety of detection systems. To act as the final escalation point for ID&V fails and escalations for the whole Barclaycard estate. To act as a source of fraud knowledge and experience for the department. The team provides 24/7 coverage

This full time equivalent role covers the hours 10pm-8am on a 4 night on 4 night off working pattern Mon- Sun.

Key Accountabilities

· Working on your own initiative and investigating suspicious activity to reduce fraud losses
· Analyse and interpret data from various sources
· Actively involved with problem solving and dealing with contentious issues whilst maintaining excellent customer service
· Dealing with and resolving all internal customer queries
· Service Inbound / Outbound calls to obtain information to support case decisioning and customer fraud case queries

Decision-making and Problem Solving

· Act as the final escalation point for ID&V fails and escalations across the Barclaycard estate.
· Empowered to make final judgment calls on ID&V fails, complex queries and investigations
· Manage complex queries in real time – Fraud and Authentication subject matter expert
Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standard

Person Specification

· Previous Fraud experience
· Excellent Telephone technique
· Proven customer service experience
· Demonstrable ability to work within a target driven environment
· Proven decision making skills in real time environment
· Confident to take ownership of final decision for ID&V across Barclaycard estate
· Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
· To be able to effectively analyse fraudulent cases and make a decision
· Seeking to improve ways of working by challenging the status quo
· Fraud Industry Knowledge
