About Barclaycard Fraud Operations
The Barclaycard Fraud Operations department consists of multiple teams investigating and preventing fraud 7 days a week. The department has around 120 colleagues working together to fight fraud, reduce fraud losses and provide a great customer journey where applicable.
Main function of the job
Investigations & Telephony: To investigate fraud for the purpose of reducing losses and increasing preventions, using a variety of detection systems. To act as a source of fraud knowledge and experience for the department. The team will provide 24/7 coverage
Analyse fraudulent applications / transactions and challenge accounts / activities where it is believed to be fraudulent
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Barclays Operational Risk Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Standards.
Candidate Profile:
Preferred
Previous Fraud experience
Working knowledge of in-house systems e.g. Triumph, Hunter, Falcon
Working knowledge of all Barclays products and services used to working in a target driven environment
Fraud Industry Knowledge
Working knowledge of in-house systems e.g. Triumph, Hunter, Falcon
Working knowledge of all Barclays products and services
Essential
Excellent Telephone technique
Proven customer service experience
Demonstrable ability to work within a target driven environment
Proven decision making skills in real time environment
Confident to take ownership of final decision for ID&V across Barclaycard estate
Ability to work autonomously with minimal supervision
To be able to effectively analyse fraudulent cases and make a decision
Fraud Industry Knowledge
Used to working in a target driven environment
