EFS Solutions :

EFS Solutions is Barclays' cross- asset structured solutions provider. We provide derivatives, structured products and strategic investments for clients worldwide. The team works with a range of clients and is a recognized global leader in constructing structured solutions, for both sides of the balance sheet.

Overall purpose of role:

Risk management of the Japan stocks light exotics books and pricing of structured products requests for clients of the bank (hedge funds, pension funds, prop desks, insurance companies, other institutional accounts).

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

Key specific accountabilities.
· Daily trading responsibilities including (but not limited to) delta hedging of the book, running reports for risk management purpose, Rates/FX/funding hedging of the books, pricing and coordination with sales across the different regions. Researching Japanese corporates and providing a view of company / sector valuations. Development of new spreadsheets/tools to improve our overall infrastructure platform
· Proactively and dynamically risk managing the Japan light exotics books - under the desk heads supervision
· Learn all the different aspects relating to the management of complex exotics books
· The candidate will be expected to come out with innovative ideas and demonstrate out-of-the-box thinking in order to manage the books efficiently
· Communicating with the rest of the trading team in Asia and in Europe/US (inside and outside EFS Solutions) in order to improve the flow of information within the different teams involved in the business

Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Your Skills and Qualifications will include
· The successful candidate must have a proven track record in pricing, risk management and revenue generation of structured / flow products.
· Understanding of the basics of company valuations and experience in researching Japanese corporate is essential.
· In addition this person must have a strong technical background, as they will be instrumental in helping to develop and model new complex products.
· Continuously push to improve our overall IT platform on the exotics side in order to simplify, rationalize and improve the efficiency of the different tools used in Asia and in the other regions

This role will require the role holder to hold mandatory registrations with:

· Japan Securities Dealers Association (JSDA) and/or Financial Futures Association of Japan (FFAJ) Markets & Banking
