Legal advises on the legal and regulatory issues that affect our business. We protect and support Barclays, collaborating with colleagues in each of our businesses. Our work includes competition, mergers and acquisitions, commercial contracts, employment, intellectual property, litigation, enforcement, financial crime and transaction support. We also oversee regulatory relationships and regulatory strategy and policy, and we manage legal related investigations.
Overall purpose of role: The role will sit on the Legal eDiscovery Technical Operations team and provide end-to-end technical support for exercises to preserve, collect, and cull data in response to legal and regulatory requests.
The Legal eDiscovery Technical Operations team is responsible for supporting the bank's Legal and Compliance teams, allowing digitally held data to be appropriately collected and reviewed. The role will collect and deliver data as required and support the review of data in internal and external platforms while ensuring that defensible, repeatable processes are applied at every stage of the matter.
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:

o Key specific accountabilities.
o Collect, collate and ultimately deliver digitally-held communications data evidence in an appropriate format to the various clients, customers and stakeholders
o Provide strategic and organizational support to stakeholders to ensure that preservation and collection is completed within SLAs and in a manner that is consistent with best practices
o Provide support to users of internal or Cloud technology solutions for review of documents, including training, consulting on optimal technical set-up, creating review workflows, and running productions
o Stakeholder management and leadership.
o Ensure that evidence handling best practices are maintained throughout the collection, processing, review, and production processes
o Liaise with internal teams to provide support to litigation, HR and ER matters, compliance requests, traditional investigations, regulatory reviews, as well as cyber forensic investigations
o Ensure all actions taken in an investigation are compliant with industry leading best practices for ensuring suitability for use in a court of law
o Decision making and problem solving.
o Diagnose and resolve processing errors as well as user technical problems
o Ensure that all data collected and examined within a case is appropriately handled, stored, deleted and tagged to protect personal and corporate entitlements and comply with local laws
o Offer support and advice to investigations teams involved in Data Retrievals, Technical Investigations and Forensic Examinations of data in line with Legal direction.

Your Skills and Qualifications will include
o Basic Qualifications
o Bachelor's degree
o 2+ years relevant experience, including experience supporting reviews and project managing cases in eDiscovery platforms Knowledge of Clearwell and Relativity eDiscovery platforms
o Preferred Qualifications
o Knowledge of evidence handling procedures and best practices in US, UK, and foreign jurisdictions.
o Able to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, with clients, customers, colleagues and subordinates
o First class attention to detail and meticulous tracking of cases, licenses, overall usage of eDiscovery platforms.
o Excellent time management and planning skills with experience of working under pressure
o Strong problem solving skills
o Clear understanding of business continuity and ability to minimise business disruption whilst efficiently progressing eDiscovery and data collection cases
o Knowledge of Symantec Discovery Accelerator and NUIX
o Self-starter with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills.
o Experience in conducting eDiscovery exercises within the financial sector
o Expert knowledge of MS office applications (e.g. Word, Excel & Access)
