Derivative Post Trade Services is a cross-asset class function responsible for ensuring that all Interest Rate, Credit, Equity, Commodity and Foreign Exchange Derivatives are controlled and settled in an efficient and cost effective manner. The department supports a broad range of operational services across the OTC trade lifecycle including lifecycle management, affirmation, confirmation, nostro and brokerage reconciliation as well as strategic product support.
Overall purpose of role: Support the overall DFX back office function of trade documentation.
· Drafting trades at T0
· Working with internal stakeholders to ensure accuracy of document
Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
· Key specific accountabilities. Cross Asset Confirmation drafting for global clients and coverage of global credit securitized products confirmation process. Ensure all trades are drafted on time (T0) and executed by T1. Proactively cross train on all functions performed within the team and across the department to gain an in-depth understanding of the derivative products and processes in order to drive synergies within Post Trade Services.
· Stakeholder management and leadership. Acting as first point of contact for Middle Office, Trade Capture and Sales teams to resolve trade related breaks and queries.
· Decision making and problem solving. Foster excellent working relationships with internal counterparts and have the ability to negotiate effectively with internal parties to ensure the team receives the necessary support to achieve its goals.
Risk and Control: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
