DevOps Engineer

Job description

In the API Platform DevOps team, we follow the mantra of automation and simplicity using tried and tested methods from software development to create cutting edge cloud native platforms. These platforms provide cross cutting concerns for micro services, provide frameworks for automated testing and deployments based on push button minimal intervention pipelines. Our current road map includes the creation of a service mesh for APIs, next generation deployment pipelines for both ApaaS and AWS cloud platforms, the creation of pipelines to support our portal team with the platform user experience as well as upgrades to our mule platform.

Your Role

· Write detailed stories for DevOps elements within the platform road map

· Work on POC activities

· Participate in agile ceremonies providing story points and estimates for tasks

· Create DevOps scripts using Jenkins, Gradle, Open Shift and other DevOps related technology

· Work with Java Developers and Automation Test Engineers to implement complete CI/CD pipelines

· Execute deployments of applications into Test & production environments

· Integrate monitoring and logging tools within the pipeline

· Integrate static code analysis tools into the pipeline

Essential Skills

· Jenkins pipeline & Jenkins file development

· Docker

· Cloud deployments, kubernetes & AWS

· Nexus / Artifactory integration with Jenkins

Desirable Skills

· Java development background

· SpringBoot, Spring Cloud

· Netflix cloud tools
