Job Title Business Analyst / Project Manager

Location Glasgow

Cash, Settlements and Payments Technology exists to provide Barclays with the technology necessary to efficiently process cash settlements resulting from trading activity in its Investment Bank and Corporate Banking Divisions. The team supports the back office cash settlement & payments processing for Global businesses FX, Money Markets, Commodities, OTC (Credit, Equities, and Rates), Wholesale Lending, collateral settlements and CLS payment processing for the Investment Bank and supports DDA & International Payments for the Corporate Bank. This is your opportunity to be part of a team that will be responsible for leading large multi year change programme, to deliver target cash settlements strategic platform. There will be multiple projects, multiple asset classes and functional areas, working with team across global locations.

The role will require working collaboratively with colleagues in Pune, Chennai, Prague, and London and Tech, Ops, Middle Office, Finance, architecture and design functions. You will have opportunity to exercise overall responsibility to drive analysis and design from inception, through delivery stages through to business go live and benefit realisation, demonstrating your ability to successfully deliver change. This role will require strong collaboration and positive attitude to lead significant change

Your Role

·
Work with stakeholders and delivery teams to lead the definition stage to confirm project scope, identify delivery plan, resource demand, testing and implementation approach.

Engage and facilitate across workstreams/delivery teams to identify and proactively manage risks and issues; support teams to remove blockers and provide proactive management of risk issues and change control to mitigate delivery challenges. Escalating to the programme/function lead as appropriate

Work closely with user to analyse and validate business requirements using relevant tools and approach relevant to audience and co/non collocated locations.

Define and document functional requirements either by use of user stories or functional requirements

·
Documentation of Acceptance Criteria and working closely with technology development teams to ensure solutions meet the requirements

·
Detailed gap analysis and design tasks, across multiple applications and technologies to propose solutions and assess the impact of change on systems, interfaces, processes and people.

Identify or provide solution options, pros/cons and present recommendations using appropriate level of documentation for audience and consult to get agreement.

·
Work with development team to understand technical design, database, configuration and migration script dependencies, confirm estimates and agree how will be delivered and tested.

Work with release teams to ensure that production releases are planned out with minimal or no disruption to customers and business users. Ensuring CSPT release and change control process is followed.

Essential Skills

·
Experience in delivery Projects covering Cash Settlements or decommissioning projects

·
Knowledge of trade lifecycle and product types

·
Strong experience of practical use of use of Jira/Rally, Confluence

·
Experience of data migration, analysis and definition, and onboarding of new business

Desirable Skills

·
Experience working in FX Middle & Back Office operational areas.

·
Experience of test script generation and test execution and ability to use Acceptance Criteria to drive out the requirements and testing required (BDD)

·
Agile Business Analysis training or qualifications

·
Experience in Financial Services
