Overall purpose of role:
Accurately review new applications to identify potential credit/fraud risk and make judgmental lending decisions to approve applications while minimizing credit and fraud losses. Provide quality service to all customers (both internal and external).

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
· Responsible for judgmentally decision new credit card applications using Barclay's lending philosophy.
· Analysts are required to assess credit/fraud risk on each application they decision.
· Makes outbound calls as necessary to develop additional information to facilitate final disposition of applications.
· Process inbound calls from customers and/or other Barclay's associates.
· Consistently meet performance standards set by the department.
· Contribute ideas and recommendations for process improvements to the department or company.
· Work on management approved projects that will improve efficiency.
· Identify trends/issues on a daily basis and bring to the attention of the management staff.
· Contribute to new hire and reoccurring education.
· Assist with user system testing and other special projects as assigned

Stakeholder management and leadership
The Credit Analyst will interact on a regular basis with the following areas: The Henderson Credit Operations Team Lead, Credit Team Managers, and Credit Facilitators.

Decision making and problem solving
Determine applicants' credit worthiness


Your Skills and Qualifications will include:
Basic Qualifications
· High school diploma or GED
· 1+ year experience in a customer service environment

Preferred Qualifications
· College level education preferred
· Prior Judgmental Lending experience preferred.
· Knowledge of TSYS preferred.
· Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications preferred
· Excellent oral communications skills (grammar, positive tone, active listening, etiquette, empathy, confidence)
· Excellent written skills (spelling, logical thought processes and sentence construction, appropriate word choice)
· Extremely customer-focused; positive, professional attitude
· Intelligent, self-motivated, quick learner and detail oriented.
· Strong PC and internet skills.
· Very good organization and work prioritization skills.
