Overall purpose of role

We are looking to hire an AVP to our CEEMEA M&A team, which supports the wider CEEMEA client coverage and banking product offering in the CEEMEA region.

Key Accountabilities

· Originate and execute advisory transactions
· advise clients on M&A, strategic partnerships, capital raising and structured solutions
· work alongside with country coverage and sector teams in covering regional clients / pitching for CEEMEA related advisory mandates
· Manage M&A processes/mandates
· Undertake company valuations and financial modelling
· Prepare materials for clients and internal presentations
· Attend client meetings and presentations where appropriate
· Liaise with colleagues across the Bank and with external clients and third party advisors

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards

Person Specification

· M&A execution experience gained through either a product or sector team
· Experience in supporting M&A deal origination: helping generate ideas, preparing presentations, etc
· Excellent financial analysis skills and proven track-record (through previous hands-on experience) of outstanding Excel financial modelling
· Flexibility to work across different sectors across different geographies within CEEMENA
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Sufficient knowledge of compliance, key applicable laws, rules and regulations

Preferred

· Regional language skills is a plus

This role is deemed as a Certified role under the PRA & UK Financial Conduct Authority - Individual Accountabilities Regulations and may require the role holder to hold mandatory regulatory qualifications or the minimum qualifications to meet internal company benchmarks.]
