Job Title: Business Analyst
Location: Northampton
The primary function for the Payments Technology Tower is to support the Barclaycard Payment Solutions (BPS) business and in doing so running payment transactions for 30% of the UK high street, adding business value by leveraging technology solutions and payments domain / industry knowledge. The tower also operates across Barclaycard and the wider bank providing payment solutions where the other business units are acting as a merchant or in the operation of authorisations and settlement routing.
What will you be doing?
· To identify, quantify, plan and control all business design and analysis related activity on change projects in order to support the high performance delivery of change projects and ensuring business objectives are met.
· Design : As part of the delivery of business change, the Business Design Analyst will
· Perform business design and business analysis functions on projects
· Engage with business-side clients early in the change project in order to:
· Produce clear sets of business requirements to inform work in the project design phase
· Develop and explore innovative options to address business requirements
· Support business case development in support of solution design
· Oversee the delivery of pragmatic business and operational readiness solutions which maximise benefits while achieving the desired business outcomes
· Articulate full and end to end impacts on BAU processes resulting from technology and business change
· Assess and design new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project
· Comfortable with ambiguity and actively drives requirements by use of expert facilitation skills to elicit requirements
· Plan Change : Ensure all governance, risk management, controls and compliance requirements are considered during development of requirements and designs. Support project sizing activities.
· Manage Change : Develop and implement new business change processes, systems, products and services on a change project. Provide an aggregate high level view of the combined proposed solutions and ensure alignment with the change solution. Manage interdependencies across projects/programmes and leverage synergies across projects/programmes to maximise return on investment. Review the to-be business process design to understand organisation/role impacts and create role descriptions for business process roles
What we're looking for:
· Strong understanding of business requirements gathering processes and experience in elicitation and documentation of requirements
· Understand the roles, responsibilities and value-add of Barclaycard Change Management Community
· Influencing / networking – developing internal and external business relationships and using own knowledge, skills and experience to influence others opinions and actions
· Understanding of how to scope activities around card schemes, card payment gateways, issuing/acquiring cycles, alternative payment methods and settlement systems
· Demonstrate use of wide range of visual modelling tools

· Sound commercial judgment and overall understanding of the Financial Services Industry, particularly the business impact of the regulatory environment
· Understand and comply with the requirements of Strategic Change Execution Board Standard, Group Change Governance framework and Group mandated Business Change methods, standards and tools
