Overall Purpose Of Role
· Modelling business events through detailed process flow / functional data flow diagrams
· Development of functional analysis deliverables from Business Requirements:
· High level application functional specifications,
· Detailed interface requirements,
· System business flows.
· Impact Analysis of the requirements.
· System / interface / business rule catalogues,
· volumetric / usage profiles & forecasts and its impacts,
· process / user mappings,
· high level User Interface storyboards
· Maintain requirements / analysis traceability from design deliverables to business requirements
· Coordinate meetings and discussions with stakeholders and team members
· Presentation of designs face-to-face and over the phone.
· Conduct “walk-through” of recommended system functionality and prototypes with stakeholders
· Working in the agile environment as analyst and team member.
· Experience of working in large programmes.

· Requirement study for arriving at set of functional documents.[20%]

Stakeholder Management & Leadership
The role involves good deal of stakeholder management and team management
· Experience of dealing with Product business team for requirement analysis.
· Dealing with business operational users
· Run the bank people who are supporting applications in the production.
· Internal stakeholder for various reporting.
· External technology suppliers.
Decision-making & Problem Solving
· Functional and Technical analysis of the business requirement
· Impact analysis of the requirement on the applications and architecture.
· Production issue analysis and root cause identifications.
· Ability to suggest workaround and alternatives for the issues.
· Analyse design issues and presenting to design forums with various options considered and recommendation.
Risk & Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Person Specification
· Very strong Payments knowledge from a business, operational and technology perspective
· Strong BA skills/experience
· User Story creation/elaboration/understanding
· Good communication skills especially in conveying the thoughts clearly over the phone/mail.
· Good interpersonal skills to help facilitate coordination with multiple teams.
· A good team player, who is also able to work independently,
· Ability to understand the various terms used within the finance (payments) industry.
· Presentation of designs face-to-face and over the phone.
· Sufficient technical depth to discuss designs with Technical / Infrastructure designers and data architects.
· Experience Issues analysis and problems identifications.
· High level of proficiency with Microsoft office applications specifically PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visio
· Ability to prioritise, understand value and work with the product owner to align project delivery priorities with business priorities
· Good agile understanding and ability to work in agile within the team
· Ability to work with resources across multiple locations
· Experience in working in an Off-shore / On-shore model
Desirable
· Worked in Mass Payments/bulk payments.
· Understanding of the SEPA SCT, SEPA SDD, NACHA, BACS schemes.
· Understanding of Payments processing and the various message formats like SWIFT MT, ISO20022, EDIFACT.
· Understanding of the SEPA SCT and SEPA SDD payment format.
· Experienced in the use of IBM's Rational Requisite Pro product.
· Experience of detailed design through production of FRDs (Functional Requirements Definition) and IRDs (Interface Requirements Definition.
· Experience / knowledge of working for Financial companies, and ideally of:
· the payments operations of large financial institutions - gained from either a Bank, Clearing schemes, or Systems Integration, or liquidity and settlement in a payments environment.
· Knowledge / experience of payment applications and utilities:
· GPP – Global PayPlus
· Knowledge of payment reconciliation process and applications.
· Pega Smart Investigate for Payment customer investigation.
· Experience of Payments infrastructure providers such as ACH – Automated Clearing Houses, Swift, and RTGS. Understanding re the purpose of non-functional requirements
· Experience in the development of functional designs involving integration with many channels / back-end systems
· Ability to co-ordinate with vendors for the review and system detail design.
· Assist in the development of test scripts and the QA process
· Work on data migration requirements in respect of legacy system conversions
