Information Risk Management
Information Risk Management is part of the Operations and Technology Governance and Risk function. The Information Risk Management team works closely with the business and various risk and governance, and technology teams to provide oversight of information risks.

Barclaycard Information Risk Management takes a business-focused view of risks to information across the Bank in all forms including electronic, paper or archive. It aims to integrate people, processes and technology through the use of risk management principles to safeguard the integrity, availability and confidentiality of this information in accordance with the Bank's operating model and risk appetite. Overall purpose of role :
The Information Risk Manager (IRM) role facilitates the clear understanding of the information risks affecting BCOO/BCUS and ensures effective controls are in place in line with the Barclays Group and Barclaycard policies, standards and risk appetites. The Information Risk Manager is also responsible for supporting the local Barclaycard US control environment to meet the local risk appetite or regulatory guidelines.

Areas of focus could cover Information Classification & Handling, Records Management, Data Loss Prevention, Logical Access Management, 3 rd Party Risk Management, and US Regulatory Guidelines for Information Risk/Security.

Key Accountabilities and Skills required:
· Key specific accountabilities .
· Ensure compliance with Principle Risk frameworks and reporting requirements, working with the business and risk and control representatives within the above domains. Provide routine (design and operating effectiveness) project support, assurance, remediation support, and guidance to the Barclaycard /Barclaycard US business.
· Ensure all relevant BCUS action plans and activities are tracked and completed successfully. Execute day-to-day control assurance activities and tasks, validating the control design and operational effectiveness. This can include actions stemming from internal audits, risk and control self-assessments, or other program areas requiring improvement.
· Provide control MI and related risk reporting to IRM management and business stakeholders.

· Stakeholder management and leadership .
· Develop working relationships with the Barclaycard/Barclaycard US business and risk and control teams/colleagues to ensure information risks are effectively managed.
· Work with various levels of management to define control solutions that are acceptable to balance risk and reward in regards to the protection of Barclaycard/Barclaycard US data.
· Assist IRM management with understanding the IRM control effectiveness for the Barclaycard/Barclaycard US environment.

· Decision making and problem solving .
· Ability to use good judgement and draw upon information risk and security experience to assess the information risks to the Barclaycard/Barclaycard US environment and propose appropriate risk mitigation.
· Assist the business with identifying alternate solutions or compensating controls where requirements are not met, or provide guidance for appropriate risk acceptance.

Risk and Control Objective: All Barclays colleagues have to ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Your Skills and Qualifications will include
· Basic Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree or 3-5 years' experience in Technology or Information Risk/Security roles or a minimum of 2-3 years in a Barclarycard IRM Risk Manager (BA4) role.
· Proven track record of managing or participating in the risk management life cycle activities – risk identification, assessment, remediation, reporting and governance.
· Strong knowledge of Information Security industry guidelines and best practices.
· Strong planning and organisation skills.
· Preferred Qualifications
· Professional Accreditations desired (CISA, CISSP, CRISC or CISM)
