Treasury Operations
As part of the global team, Barclays Treasury Operation is responsible for supporting all aspects of funding and liquidity management for Japan's business.

Role Purpose
· Intraday Funding requirements (JPY, NON-JPY) & Cash Projection
· Nostro Reconciliation
· Reporting (Internal & External/ Daily, monthly, quarterly and annually) using Microsoft Excel

Key Accountabilities
· Cash Projection
· Calculate and forecast the daily cash position/confirm the forecasted balance with Front Office
· Manage Intraday Liquidity and report to Front Office in a timely basis
· Perform Balance Management of nostro accounts by taking necessary communication with external bank and capturing information into various systems
· Control schedule and back office process of Bank of Japan reserve requirements
· Front Office related Support
· Process Bank of Japan funds – supply against pooled collateral, Call market trades, Ministry of Finance auction (Ministry of Finance auction only to Barclays Bank PLC, Tokyo Branch)
· Treasury related Support
· Provide requested information in timely manner for various projects and enquires
· Reconciliation
· Reconcile and prepare report for closing booked balance against actual records
· Reporting
· Daily intraday liquidity Report and ask approval to Treasury on the breach of Intraday Liquidity limit
· Daily Bank of Japan intraday balance management report
· Daily Bank of Japan balance
· Other periodical reports to internal and external audience
· Project
· Support team leaders on Treasury Operation related projects (Intraday Liquidity, Regulatory Report, etc )

Person Specification
· Basic Qualifications
· College or junior college graduate
· Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point
· Detail oriented
· Self starter
· A team player with a high level of commitment and enthusiasm
· Good Communication skills both in Japanese and in English (Fluent in Japanese, Business level in English)
· Comfortable with the demands of working in a pressurised environment
· Preferred Qualifications
· A few years of work experience in financial industry
· Excels at analysis
