­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­­Overall purpose of role

The Prime Brokerage Middle office is responsible for the effective functioning and monitoring of all Prime Brokerage Operations related activities including trade processing, client account reconciliation, onboarding, client reporting and trade lifecycle management. The middle office work closely with various teams across the bank including Client Service, Stock Loan, Finance and Compliance to deliver a comprehensive service for our clients.

Key Accountabilities

The analyst will manage client trade activity related to both Equity and Fixed Income products, ensuring daily activity is processed and risk and control items are mitigated in a timely manner. The role will also require extensive daily interaction with both internal and external clients. They will serve as the primary escalation contact for Client Service and Sales teams.

The specific duties pertaining to the role are :

· Overseeing daily trade processing across all prime brokerage customer accounts

· Ensure all trades are properly captured by firms in- house systems and where necessary, manually enter pending root cause analysis and remediation

· Identifying inter/intra system exceptions stemming from breakdowns in trade lifecycle processing

· Investigating root cause of issues and determining strategic solutions

· Tracking of all unsettled trades for client executions done with other Broker Dealers and execution venues, mitigating operational risk

· Multi-tasking requests from several clients while providing superior client service..

Risk and Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards.

Person Specification

Basic Qualifications

· Bachelors Degree

· 2+ years of experience in Prime Brokerage Operations or related

· 2+ years of Operational Client Account Management experience

Preferred Qualifications

· Ability to lead by example while multi-tasking and prioritizing queries and issues accordingly

· Ability to build strong relationships with Front Office and other Operational groups in order to deliver a quality product to our clients

· Team player

· Strong communications skills

· Strong attention to detail

· Knowledge of BPS subledger system

· Understanding of US fixed income and equity DVP markets
