About Corporate Technology

Corporate Technology is responsible for the delivery of IT services to our Corporate Bank. We shape and deliver the portfolio of change in addition to managing the BAU live service to ensure that our clients have uninterrupted access to the critical services they require to run their business.

About Operations & Originations

Operations & Originations Technology represent a delivery portfolio within Corporate Technology that manages the development and delivery of change to processes and systems that support Corporate Bank origination, operations and servicing functions.

Overall Purpose Of Role

The successful BA will be responsible for end to end delivery of all elements of the project lifecycle from requirements gathering through to operating model definition and implementation with the Business.

Key Accountabilities

· Define & produce functional and non-functional requirements
· Provide requirements to various application groups to build the required changes
· Work closely with Business, Change and Architecture teams
· Manage stakeholder relationships between the demand (business) and suppliers (IT) around constraints and limitations of solutions
· Build methods for testing the solution against the requirements (E.g. user cases, test scenarios etc.)
· Support users in executing acceptance testing
· Assist the Project Manager with managing workstream scope
· Work with stakeholders to identify, document and implement new operating model changes / processes

Stakeholder Management & Leadership

· Potentially Line manages individuals, including Performance Management, Interim and Annual Reviews, Personal and Professional Development needs.
· Provide leadership and coaching to ensure that all staff are aligned to the goals and culture of both Corporate Technology and Barclays.
· Rigorously discharge all of the Group's HR policies (including Performance Development, Equality and Diversity, Disciplinary & Grievance) in respect of staff Line Managed
· Act as a role model in terms of both delivery and behaviour for all staff in Corporate Technology personal
· Demonstrate total commitment to the personal and professional development of all members of Corporate Technology personal
· Mentor and coach colleagues and clients by sharing experience

Decision-Making & Problem Solving

· Champion the DDLA delivery methods which are being adopted by Corporate Technology
· Support project management in defining the project and producing the project definition / Viability Assessments and supporting plans
· Actively contribute to the realisation of the project aims and objectives, and the contribution of business analysis to those aims and objectives
· Manage specific project business analysis workstreams to meet project targets
· Effective management and reporting of own time to deliver against project plan
· Report progress regularly to the project manager
· Ensure the delivery and presentation of business analysis is to appropriate levels of quality, on time and within budget, in accordance with the project plan
· Undertake business analyst interviews (including organising and facilitating joint requirements planning sessions and working groups) and analysis
· Provide data analysis and scenario modelling
· Provide objective analysis of SME output
· Provide analytical support to project management and the Corporate Technology Personal leadership team where appropriate

Risk & Control Objective

Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
