Overall purpose of role
· Create Test ware - estimates, scenarios, cases, data and regression packs
· Execute Test (Manual & Automation) and collate evidence
· Create, Execute and Maintain Automation scripts where applicable
· Defect reporting and tracking
Key Accountabilities
· Understand the AUT and share your understanding within the team
· Create query log/ mind map/ flow charts
· Create test cases/ scripts/ charters/ data sheets/ sample data
· Set up and Execute tests and record evidence
· Raise defects with appropriate amount of details
· Working knowledge of Quality Center/Jira or any other test case management or defect management tool
Stakeholder Management and Leadership
· The test analyst is expected to document all testing details in a testing tool and Follow agreed guidelines.
· Escalate issues to TM as appropriate
· Ensure that test case execution and defect statuses are reported in a clear and concise form in daily/weekly progress reports
· Provide support/inputs to other team members on technology/ domain/ application queries
Decision-making and Problem Solving
· Understand the AUT and share your understanding within the team

Person Specification
· Understanding of IT systems and functioning
· Good at art of questioning
· Aptitude to learn tools/apps/processes/domains
· Ability to articulate thoughts spoken/written with global teams
· Knowledge of testing terminologies, Agile & Dev-Ops Models and tools
· Exposure to working in a team and guiding junior colleagues
· Hands-on experience in one or more technical areas of Mainframe technology and tools such as COBOL, IMS, CICS, DB2, VSAM, JCL, TWS, File-Aid
· Domain Knowledge in Retail Banking and testing experience in one or more core banking product platforms/systems such as Accounting and clearing / General Ledger, Payments, Customer, Fraud, Debit Cards, CAMSII or similar systems.
· Ability to manage own work and work independently
· Experience in working on 2-5 projects of 6-8 months duration or more with global teams
· Participate in organization activities to promote Barclays culture
· Experience in both Agile tools(JIRA) and Traditional test tools (HP QC) or similar test management tools.
· Mainframe Development skills will be useful
Educational qualification
· Graduate with software engineering and development background
· Domain/Testing/Technical certification will be an advantage
