Key Accountabilities
· Deliver robust system designs as required for allocated projects
· Identify issues in design specifications and product documentation
· Program robust solutions based on functional and technical designs utilizing java msSQL and other coding principals.
· Plan and execute functional technical and performance testing to ensure consistent quality and minimize business risk
· Provide Operational Support to application and infrastructure components reacting quickly and as necessary to live software errors to limit downtime and resolve
Risk and Control Objective
Ensure that all activities and duties are carried out in full compliance with regulatory requirements, Enterprise Wide Risk Management Framework and internal Barclays Policies and Policy Standards
Person Specification
· Must have a subset of the following skills
· Proven experience developing applications using an object oriented programming language, preferably Java
· Proven experience working with databases and using SQL
· Proven experience analyzing requirements and designing applications
· Proven experience planning and performing application testing
Preferred
· Experience using Unit testing frameworks, preferably JUnit
· Experience working in an agile / SCRUM team
