Job description
Job Title : Analyst - BI Internal Reporting
Job Location : Chennai
Ø Working in close partnership with the business, provide support to drive business decisions.
Ø Interpret and explain performance within the business on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis.
Ø Work alongside the UK team in respect of key planning assumptions and prepare financial forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities.
Ø Automating existing models so they run faster and more reliably
Ø Provide ad-hoc analysis and insights on specific issues
What will you be doing?
Ø Monitor actual performance against target and provide understanding for variances.
Ø Maintain/enhance the Forecast model in order to produce the quarterly Forecast numbers and use for data requests
Ø To respond to routine and ad-hoc information/commercial requests.
Ø Report financial performance on a weekly, monthly and ad-hoc basis, developing robust, automated procedures for delivery.
Ø Carry out data mining and modelling
Ø Automate manual BAU processes to improve productivity where possible.
Ø Build strong relationships with all key stakeholders.
Ø Collaboration across Retail Products and Segments Finance - share best practice, influence business decisions and participate in cross finance initiatives.
Ø Take ownership of own development, participating actively in one to ones, responding to feedback and identifying learning opportunities in the workplace.
What we're looking for:
Ø Excellent command of verbal and written English
Ø Ability to work under pressure and to tight timetables.
Ø Strong planning & organisational skills
Ø Advanced MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) skills
Ø Familiar with financial solution packages like Essbase, SAP, Cognos etc.
Skills that will help you in the role:
Graduates (B.Com), Postgraduates (M.Com,), CA Inter., CMA Inter, CS Inter. with relevant experience CIMA / CFA / ACCA /CA / MBA (Finance)
