Job Title: AML Quality Assurance Specialist
Location: Northampton

The AML Quality Assurance team is a new function set up to address the financial crime risk associated with high risk business on the Barclaycard Payment Solutions Portfolio. Working closely with our 2nd Line of Defence, AML KYC teams and the AML Transaction Monitoring team the role holder will ensure that the decisions made within the AML Transaction Monitoring team is correct, in that our merchants are operating within their business model and challenge decisions made and provide feedback if any anomalies in the merchants' transaction profile arise. The team will also focus on wider financial crime risks that affect the merchant acquiring industry such as Vice, Transaction Laundering, Terrorist Financing etc.

Your Role

• AML QA Specialists are responsible for reviewing the process followed by the AML Transaction Monitoring team is correct in their analysis of retailers in relation to Financial Crime & Money Laundering related matters.
• The role of the QA Specialist is varied and requires specialist skills to identify and take timely actions in order to prevent brand damaging activity stemming from misuse of the retailer's facilities.
• Take effective action in accordance with strategy, policy and regulatory requirements in respecting to reporting/recording financial crime investigations by ensuring that the decisions made by the AML Transaction Monitoring team is correct.
• Work with other business units to educate, share intelligence and partner in financial crime investigations.

Essential Skills

• Previous experience in Fraud or AML Quality Assurance
• Ability to question Quality Assurance metrics and seek permission to amend where appropriate
• Management and monitoring of quality assurance processes including the updating of Process Adherence Standards and working with the business to ensure Standard Operating Procedures are correct.
• A sound knowledge of current AML legislation.
• Able to make decisions & execute measured feedback.

Desirable Skills

• A working understanding of merchant acquiring
• Experience of holding challenging conversations with colleagues.
• A knowledge of current risks in the acquiring industry
• Knowledge of SQL syntax
• Knowledge of Verint
