Provides technical systems and software support for maintenance, modification, implementation, or conversion of business systems to support ongoing delivery of services and/or operations in the Global Markets environment. Aware of business or function for which application or system is designed. Translates business needs into technical requirements and ensures all systems support and conform to business needs and specifications. Serves as a fully seasoned and proficient technical resource. Individual contributor role; fully competent to work under general direction on complex projects usually on specific assigned problems. Entry level position. This job code is only to be used for employees supporting Global Markets.
Job Description and Responsibilities
A Global Markets (Collateral) Business Analyst works directly with the internal and external Technology teams and Global users to understand and formulate the changes required for various initiatives. Key areas of focus include planning and projecting all the work required, global coordination, management presentations, and analysis of business documents.
Primary Business Analyst responsibilities include:
· Assist in creating detailed project plans for various internal and external initiatives
· Regulatory and Compliance interpretation
· Interact extensively with global market users and other project management teams
· Generate weekly reporting
· Understand market data providers (Pricing, Security data, Ledger accounts)
· Assist with a variety of ad hoc assignments, including preparing business and technology presentations, typically with time constraints
· Be a knowledgeable resource and point person within the Global Market Collateral workstream who can efficiently track the team’s day-to-day technology activities
· Manage the financial budgets and projections for the group
Desired profile
Required Skills
· 2 years of financial, operations, or general business support experience in the financial industry, including continued exposure to MS Office and Project.
Preferred Skills
· Demonstrate a combination of business aptitude, quantitative skills, strategic and creative thinking
· Superior written and oral communications skills
· Proficiency of software applications, primarily Excel and PowerPoint and MS Project
· Exhibit assertiveness, attention to detail, ability to learn new skills and grasp concepts quickly, ability to multi- task across varied projects, dedication to building a career in the corporate and investment banking industry, initiative, leadership, strong work ethic, positive attitude, sense of humor and the ability to work effectively under pressure and time constraints
· Ability to learn quickly and take on new responsibilities
· Bachelor’s degree required
