Global Risk Management offers graduate internships in two robust tracks, which provide new associates with an opportunity to be intellectually curious and help drive our culture of excellence through risk management. These two tracks include: General Risk and Global Compliance.

Global Risk Management at Bank of America manages the risk for each of the bank's major lines of business. The foundation of Bank of America's risk governance is individual accountability and adherence to the highest standards of conduct across the globe. At Bank of America we face seven key types of risk in our daily operations; strategic risk, credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk, operational risk, compliance risk, and reputational risk Understanding, identifying and managing risk is part of every employee's job at Bank of America and Global Risk Management plays a critical role in this effort.

Overview

The General Risk Graduate Internship is an internship that exposes master level students to a challenging and valuable 10 week assignment within Global Risk Management. This experience is designed for associates develop a solid understanding of the core roles and responsibilities of Global Risk Management, while developing a broad range of skills that are applicable throughout much of the corporation. Interns will get a chance to experience emerging risk assessments, credit risk scenario analysis, as well as modeling in regards to some of our key risk factors. The General Risk Graduate Internship teammates participate in a variety of activities within Global Risk Management and bank-wide, to foster teamwork, encourage networking, and demonstrate Bank of America's vision and culture of excellence. Positions will be within various Global Risk Management lines of business including Consumer and Small Business Banking Risk, Enterprise Risk, Global Banking and Markets Risk, Global Wealth Management Risk, and Corporate Operational Risk.

Training

The General Risk Graduate Internship training curriculum is a multi-phased program that complements the hands-on experience the associates develop in their day-to-day assignment. The training curriculum includes both instructor led and web-based components.

Enterprise Description: Program designed to introduce associates with little to no work experience to business banking policies and practices. Length of employment is pre-established for a set period of time, usually seasonal. Work assignments are well defined with a high degree of supervision and direction provided.
