Early Years Teacher - Nursery, Thames Ditton

Job description

We are recruiting for an Early Years Teacher to work within private day nursery in Thames Ditton, Surrey. The nursery is a fantastic setting with outdoor facilities and has good transport links.

The position is to take a lead in the Early years education for the setting across all ages.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate:
• The ability to plan lessons effectively within the EYFS
• Be able to lead and manage staff team to follow lesson plans
• Enthusiasm to deliver high quality education to children aged 0-5 years that is fun, stimulating and exciting.
• Experience of working as a teacher/early years professional with preschool children or desire to progress - we will consider freshly graduated candidates as long as other requirements can be met
• Have an excellent knowledge and understanding of the underpinning principles surrounding children’s care, learning and development.
• Ability to contribute to ideas for the ongoing development and improvement of services.
• Have excellent written and verbal communication skills. Demonstrate an ability to write up reports, recording efficiently and effectively.
• Hold either Early Years Professional status or BA degree in Education

Please note it is essential that all applicants hold the level 6 teacher qualification or QTS status with experience of working with children under 5 years.
