Technical Training Authority

We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Training Authority at our site in Broad Oak Technology Centre, Portsmouth

As a Technical Training Authority, you will work as part of multi-disciplinary teams involving Royal Navy (RN), International Navies, Ministry of Defence (MoD) and Industry organisations, the role will cover leadership and management of Training Needs Analysis, Training Solution Definition and Design, Training Delivery and Training Support Service activities.

Your main responsibilities as a Technical Training Authority will involve:

Providing training specialist leadership, requirements ownership and high-level decision making for teams during bid, development and support phases of the training lifecycle.

Acting as the delegated Training Design Authority and primary technical point of contact for project specific training matters such as needs analyses, solution/support definition and the conduct and agreement of trade-offs.

Ensuring the overarching strategic intent of Maritime Services is followed and applied.

Participating in the vetting and recruitment of Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), Instructors and other personnel responsible for the definition, delivery and support of the training solution(s).

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

Candidates will have successfully completed a Defence Systems Approach to Training (DSAT) Training Needs Analysis course (preferably Defence Academy Course No. 47 – DSAT Training Needs Analysis) or a similar training framework course

Have a sound understanding and working experience of the acquisition of training solutions, simple and complex

Working knowledge of current training methods

Stakeholder management experience

Desirable

Prior exposure within a naval environment

Good understanding or prior experience of the defence industry

Happy to travel as part of the role, customer is in Filton
