Technical Coordinator

Would you like to play a key support role within our Build Services department? We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Coordinator at our site in Barrow-In-Furness.

DDC Build Services provide a support infrastructure to contracts under construction. It is a key element in the development and delivery of the submarine programme. The department has 260 personnel who exhibit a positive and proactive attitude in the many different elements of support they provide. We are about to embark on a new project which will bring new challenges and new ways of working and an exciting future.

As a Technical Coordinator, you will coordinate data by prioritising, producing and maintaining documentation and other correspondence. Providing support to the relevant teams, ensuring documentation and information is precise and up to date.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work with a wide range of stakeholders across a variety of tasks and be part of an established team working towards the same goals

Your main responsibilities as a Technical Coordinator will involve:

Organise the management diary and phone calls to ensure effective diary movements.

Book meeting where required

Ordering goods and services to ensure stock levels are maintained.

Manage Sickness and Holidays and send out weekly reports

Keeping records of weekly transactions

Ensure information and notice boards are kept up to date and communicated across the various stakeholder groups where appropriate.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

Minute taking and generating meeting material e.g management packs

Previous experience of purchasing goods

Prior experience of diary management

Ability to work in a large team coordinating a variety of different stakeholders

Ability to maintain a variety of different rota's

Desirable

Level 2 keyboard skills would be an advantage.

Prior experience ensuring and maintaining confidentiality of information and data.
