Technical Administrator
We currently have a vacancy for a Technical Administrator at our site in Telford.
As a Technical Administrator, you will be dealing with drawings and documents, printing machines and equipment to produce CVs and DVDs. You will be the point of contact for people looking for documents and drawings and advising where and how they can be found.
This role will provide you with the opportunity to work closely with internal and external stakeholders with large exposure across Engineering.
Your main responsibilities as a Technical Administrator will involve:
Searching for, collating and compiling source information i.e. drawings or documents both hard a soft copy in network repositories or from hard copy archives distributed across the site
Responding to reference information requests and liaising with customers, internal & external to BAE Systems; e.g. departments of the MoD (such as DSG, Project Teams, etc.) or other BAE Systems business units
Producing estimates and quotations for task requests and invoice once tasks have been completed; often at short notice
Keeping customers informed on target completion dates and the cost of large requests that take time and effort to compile and prepare for submission
Responding to reference information requests on the Telford archive; this includes hard copy, microfiche & electronic materials stored on computer network and hard drive
Using access database to search for documents and drawings
Updating and manipulating Excel spread sheets
Using Adobe acrobat for manipulating PDF files
Creating MS Word documents from templates for Issue notes and CD Labels
Your skills and qualifications as a Technical Administrator :
Administration experience
Experience of working with databases
Stakeholder Management
Good customer service experience
Engineering/technical background is desirable
Teamcentre experience desirable

Salary: £19,390 +
