Integrated Logistics Support Engineer (ILS)

Are you currently working in an integrated logistics role and are interested in supporting the UK Royal Navy's submarine fleet? At Maritime Services we're involved in a range of services from warship availability, equipment and facilities management to training, product development and through-life support for radar, torpedoes and small boats.

We currently have a challenging opportunity for an Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) Engineer at our site in Broad Oak. This role is responsible for all logistical engineering support across the range of underwater products and help predict requirements, plan and maintain equipment ensuring that the products are available and fit for purpose.
We're looking for someone with experience so you'll have a background in logistics, preferably in a similar environment and a good understanding of Availability, Reliability and Maintainability (ARM) and Through Life support

Your main responsibilities as an ILS Engineer will involve:

Having broad knowledge and experience of the various ILS activities
(FRACAS/ARM/Supportability) to act as the interface between the product and the support solution during bid & in service phases

Undertaking ARM and ILS tasked activities in accordance with the requirements of ARM Management Plans, Integrated Support and Logistic Support Analysis Plans in accordance with the requirements of Defence

Preparing ARM and ILS related Technical Management Plans for Projects

Preparing Project Reliability Case material in accordance with industry standard

Providing support to a range of both internal and external stakeholders

Providing fault reporting engineering support services, analysis and reports

Your skills and qualifications:

Experience in a similar logistics role in large scale manufacturing is essential

Working knowledge of the application of ARM analysis and LSA/LSAR techniques at all stages of the product lifecycle

HNC or a relevant degree preferred

Experience of Defence Standards would be an advantage

You will have good communication and technical report writing skills with internal and external customers. You will be able to identify issues and solutions when given a set of potentially conflicting data and stakeholder requirements. You will also have the ability to self motivate and work to deadlines so experience of prioritising your workload would be useful.
