Structure Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in supporting our design and development programmes? We currently have a vacancy for a Structure Engineer at our site in our Warton and Samlesbury locations.

As a Structure Engineer, you will be working with structural engineers, to help direct work day to day. You may also have interactions with designers and manufacturing engineers.

This role will provide you with experience working with the military fast jet airframe design and development programmes. You will also have the opportunity to work on different platforms and engage with stakeholders.

Your main responsibilities as a Structure Engineer will involve:

• Carrying out engineering tasks for activities within span of control, performing tasks to cost and on time to meet requirements and business needs.

• Ensure the technical content of the work, including deliverables, is acceptable to line manager and utilises the most efficient engineering methods available.

• Ensure all work is compatible with the departmental quality policy and that departmental procedures are followed. Agree work plan with line manager and deploy structures engineering methods, processes and data for activities within span of control

• Ensure effective interactions with customers, team mates and others, to promote the best interests of the team, department and company.

• Provide efficiency and effectiveness suggestions for the development of structures engineering toolsets and processes within the Structures discipline

Your skills and qualifications:

· Degree qualified or HND with relevant experience, aeronautical/ structural engineering, mechanical engineering, built on HND. Mechanical is more of interest

· Experience working within an engineering environment

· Demonstrate a logical approach to problem solving
