Structural Welder

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a handful of talented Structural Welders to join our rapidly expanding team at Barrow-in-Furness, which is currently undergoing significant growth with £300m being spent on its expansion.

As a Structural Welder, you will be responsible for all aspects of Structural and Pipe Welding utilising MIG Flux Core Process, TIG and automation in submarine construction. You will be required to weld a wide range of materials and thicknesses in all positions, consistently producing acceptable welds to the required acceptance standard. These standards include DPI/MPI, X-Ray and U/T examination.

Join BAE Systems Maritime Submarine as a Structural Welder and you'll be playing a crucial role in the Astute and Successor programmes which will directly impact the security of the UK for decades to come.

As a Structural Welder your skills and qualifications will ideally include:

· Time-served welder

· Experience with MIG and TIG welds

· Experience in Shipbuilding, Nuclear, Petro-Chem, Offshore, Marine, or Heavy Engineering would be advantageous
