Software Developer

Would you like to join BAE Systems in Yeovil as a Software Developer ? We are currently recruiting for af Software Developer s to work within the RTS team.

As a Software Developer , you will be working within a team of engineers to design, develop, test, document, configure and deliver software solutions as well developing software.

This role will provide you with the opportunity to work across a number of products and integrate with various key stakeholders including customer itself. You will also have the benefit of joining an area that is growing and an integral part of the company's development and growth.

Your main responsibilities as a Software Development Engineer will involve:

Working within the Software Development team, developing a number of products

Reviewing higher level design information to understand the required implementation solution

Working effectively as a team member within a team of engineers to design, develop, test, document, configure and deliver software solutions

Under guidance of the Team Leader developing all products to agreed standards and procedures using the specified tools and maintain product quality during development

Investigating and resolving problems raised during the multiple test phases

Working to timescales set by the Team Leader, clearly understanding and providing regular feedback of progress and achievement

Communicating effectively and identifying early potential risks, seeking clarification and providing feedback to the Team Leader

Your skills and qualifications:

Experience of Delphi, Pascal or any other Object Orientated Programming Language desirable

Software development knowledge

Experience of the software development lifecycle in an agile/waterfall environment

Knowledge of Relational Databases and SQL desirable

You can work to timescales and communicate effectively. You will be able to seek out and identify potential risks and provide feedback to the Team Leader.

Salary: £25,000.00

Location: Yeovil
