Security Engineer
Grade 5
Location: Riyadh, Saudi Arabia
International System Engineering Co. Ltd. is an Economic Offset Company within KSA majority owned by BAE Systems.
ISE is responsible for the delivery of IT services to BAE Systems entities in KSA and provides services and support to a number of Government agencies. In addition ISE provides integral support to numerous BAE Systems Salam and SBDCP programmes.
Currently the majority of ISE's work is derived from BAE Systems however ISE has significant growth targets included through the IBP timeline which will be targeted primarily through external contracts.
The role will be varied and will provide significant exposure within the business for the successful applicant together with opportunities to progress further.
The role will be located in the new ISE HQ building located within the purpose built Information Technology & Communications Complex (ITCC) close to the centre of Riyadh.
JOB PURPOSE
The main purpose of the Security Engineer role is to be point of contact for information security questions/issues within the organization also ensuring resolution of security incidents, issues, and bugs.
JOB ACCOUNTABILITIES
The Job Holder will serve as an initial point of contact for security questions/issues within the organization also coordinate with the information Security Officer on planning and rolling all security initiatives and policies in ISC
Will perform regular security architecture reviews for new and existing products and provide them in-depth technical feedback on any issues and work with the teams on addressing them.
Assuring the implementation of security policy, guidelines and technical controls among the data centre by liaising with the Information Security officer.
Job accountability also include identifying security risks and developing short and long term mitigation plans.
Drive security training and awareness for the data centre team by coordination with the objectives and directions set by the Information Security Officer.
Review, track, and ensure resolution of security incidents, issues, and bugs.
Perform initial triage and technical due diligence of any externally reported security Issues also perform security checks using appropriate testing and benchmarking tools.
Preparing technical specifications and requirements and providing technical advice and recommendations for hardware and software solutions, tools and practices.
Responsible for testing equipment's and tools before deployment and make sure they conform to their requirements and specifications
Responsible for writing technical reports, analysis results, and recommendations.
Evangelize security change and coordinate security tasks with various teams.
Perform day-to-day data centre security operations and maintenance.
RECRUITMENT SPECIFICATION
This role will require Bachelor's degree in computer engineering science or equivalent and extensive experience in identifying and negotiating appropriate trade-offs between security, performance and product requirements
In-depth knowledge in MS Windows environments Knowledge in UNIX environments would be a plus
In-depth knowledge of Cisco internetwork security.
Experience with project Management
Enterprise Security design
Firewalls (hardware/software)
Information security and internet security
Securing different networks and connectivity types
Security for applications, databases and websites
Security for control and accessibility equipment's
Security infrastructure
Security standards and protocols
Security tools
Server Security
CISSP is a highly recommended certification.
