Security Controller

We have an exciting opportunity for a Security Controller to be based at our Scotstoun site in Glasgow.

The successful candidate will provide specialist security advice and support to the site, programmes and projects. You will act as the focal point between various stakeholders, ensuring consistent and effective standards of information security management.

Your main responsibilities will involve:

Mitigate security risks to the site by the implementation of knowledge, experience and policy.

Liaise with and provide advice to stakeholders, management and staff in order to predict current and future requirements.
Anticipate and resolve site wide security issues and ensure policies are in place to allow the delivery of programmes and projects.

Develop and manage effective communications to promote security and employee engagement in security.

Day-to-day management of the security function within scope.

Coordinate the implementation of security directives affecting programmes and projects.

Manage the protection of assets and data within defined criteria.

Assist in the planning measures for buildings, facilities, projects and programmes and provide innovative solutions to maintain and enhance the security environment.

Regularly liaise with key stakeholders to diagnose key performance issues and provision of remedial actions.

Your skills and qualifications:

Knowledge and delivery of HMG security policy

Knowledge of IT security and understanding of data security requirements.

Strong experience within a similar security management position.

Understanding of UK law pertinent to security role

Relationship and customer management
