Project Accountant
Would you like to be part of a new UK Typhoon support model known as future stage operating model? We currently have a vacancy for a Project Accountant at our site in.
As a Project Accountant, you will be responsible for providing Project Accounting support to Typhoon production contracts and Typhoon P3Eb Capability contracts.
This role will offer an exciting opportunity to work on a new contract being delivered to the customer in Kuwait.
Your main responsibilities as a Project Accountant will involve:
Preparing and challenging all phases of IBP including assumptions, risks and opportunities and bridging to previous IBP phases
Preparing monthly forecasts including assumptions, risks and opportunities and explaining forecast movements
Ensuring all financial procedures and controls are applied as required
Cash forecasting and engaging cross functionally driving process improvements and forecast accuracy
Producing monthly balance sheet and comments, taking actions where appropriate
Supporting the business in producing robust quarterly CSRs and Sales and Margin Trading Plans
Supporting the business as appropriate in ensuring all budget targets are achieved; including reviewing and posting of monthly sales and margin journals and ensuring all bids are subject to the appropriate financial challenge and in line with procedure
Your skills and qualifications as a Project Accountant will ideally include:
Fully qualified CIMA/ACA/ACCA or relevant equivalent
Advanced Excel skills
Able to prioritise to meet key deadlines
Project accounting experience
TM1 and BAAN experience would be desirable
Manufacturing background would be beneficial
