Production Technician – Inspector

Would you like a chance to work in a state of the art electronics environment on both civil and military platforms? We currently have a vacancy for a Production Technician (Inspector) at our site in Rochester.

As a Production Technician - Inspector, you will be working within an integrated manufacturing team, inspecting products to set target times and within the project schedule. There may be some migration of this skill into other technician disciplines such as assembly, wiring and basic testing. This particular role is within our F35 active inceptors section where the use of a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) is employed to perform mechanical checks (training will be provided). This role will involve a mixture of hands-on inspection, as well as administrative in relation to appropriate record keeping.

This role will provide you with a good amount of responsibility to ensure the highest level of production quality and final sign off before delivery to the customer. You will gain a good amount of exposure to a range of Production stakeholders, alongside the opportunity to progress your career within Operations in the future.

Your main responsibilities as a Production Technician – Inspector will involve:

Inspecting products to set target times and within the project schedule

Inspection duties, which will cover mechanical and visual inspection; mechanical inspection will be via instruments and the XYZ CMM

Carrying out request inspections and final inspections

Administrative work including checking log packs, updating electronic records and other appropriate record keeping

Working with internal stakeholders including the Operations Manager, the Production Project Leader and the Team Leader

Your skills and qualifications as a Production Technician - Inspector:

Essential:

Mechanical/ soldering/ wire person/ trades background

The ability to keep accurate records and raises non-conformances

Desirable:

IPC 610 qualification

Inspection experience

Salary: circa £26,410 commensurate with skills and experience
