We currently have a vacancy for 2 Production Controllers at our site in Cowes (Isle of Wight), to join the Product & Training Services (P&TS) part of BAE Systems.

As a Production Controller, you will be responsible for the control of Work Orders in line with the Master Production Schedule whilst identifying and resolving issues. This role provides an excellent opportunity to be involved with the broad variety of products and platforms that P&TS are responsible for. This includes cutting edge torpedoes and radar systems currently in service with the Royal Navy.

Your main responsibilities as Production Controller will involve:

Managing work in line with the plan through to completion and to budget – including the management of material shortages.

Identifying potential issues and communicating these to the necessary stakeholders for resolution.

Maintaining system integrity and ensuring compliance to documented procedures.

Maintaining the Master Production Schedule in line with customer requirements.

Participating in the contract launch process and provide specialist advice on MRP and scheduling.

Supporting the Logistics function in the absence of other team members to ensure that production can continue.

Your skills and qualifications:

Ideally from backgrounds such as Planning / Stores / Logistics / Engineering / Procurement.

MRP / ERP experience using systems such as SAP.

Previous Production Control experience.

Computer literate.
