Principal Engineer – DOORS Administrator
Would you like to support the management of the submarine combat systems (CS) requirements and acceptance database? We currently have a vacancy for a Principal Engineer – DOORS Administrator at our site in Frimley.
As a Principal Engineer – DOORS Administrator, you will be accountable for the development and management of the necessary capability to meet the needs of CS requirements data management and control.
This role will provide you with the chance to work with cutting edge defence projects across a number of different submarine combat systems. The role will also give you excellent exposure to the customer community, as well as suppliers and a number of internal stakeholders.
Your main responsibilities as a Principal Engineer – DOORS Administrator will involve:
Leading tasks on requirements management including requirements capturing and input into DOORS; taking into account the broader Combat Systems functional and non-functional requirements for all submarine classes
Liaising with both internal and external customers as required ensuring that their requirements are adequately supported and that their needs are fully considered and incorporated where appropriate
Supporting the design and capture of the verification and validation test cases necessary to achieve task acceptance; ensuring full traceability within the DOORS database from requirements through design to acceptance
Collating and recording evidence to support product acceptance; particularly liaising with technical authorities to compile and provide metric reports (status reports)
Your skills and qualifications as a Principal Engineer – DOORS Administrator :
In-depth knowledge of IBM rational DOORS tool
Experience managing requirements databases
Knowledge of systems engineering/ systems design
