Would you like to work across multiple programmes in a wide-ranging and varied role where no day is the same? We currently have a vacancy for a Plumber at our site in Barrow.

As a Plumber, you will be working as part of the Plant Maintenance team/department focusing on plumbing aspects of maintenance. You will be working in a safety critical environment, meeting targets both regulatory and with regards to the development of the team.

This role is challenging and a great opportunity to gain exposure across all areas of the Barrow site and initiate continuous improvements across the business.

Your main responsibilities as a Plumber will involve:

Working safely at all times, complying with health and safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines

Following the relevant instructions, manufactures and technical drawings and any other specifications

Using the appropriate methods and techniques to fabricate, assemble and install pipework

Using associated tools and equipment safely and effectively

Monitoring temp of hot and cold water systems

Following Plant Maintenance schedules

Servicing boilers, testing gas mains and general day to day plumbing maintenance

Supporting/mentoring apprentices

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Plumbing Trade apprenticeship NVQ3 + experience
Experience in diagnostics and testing of boilers, pumps and associated systems
Ability to read technical drawings and manuals
Plant maintenance background
Computer literate

Desirable:

Engineering/industrial environment experience
Legionella experience and understanding of water regulations
Isolation process competent
Industrial/domestic gas knowledge

Salary: £28,000+
