Part Time Security Receptionist Fixed Term Contract 12 Months

We currently have a vacancy for a Security Receptionist at our site in Portsmouth Naval Base.

As a Security Receptionist, you will be working a total of 21 hours a week covering Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. You will be ensuring the day-to-day reception activities are adequately executed in accordance with current MoD Naval Base Standing Orders, whilst presenting a positive image of BAE Systems.

Your main responsibilities as a Security Receptionist will involve:

Demonstrating and communicating excellent customer service values

Processing temporary personal ID passes effectively, ensuring processing and issuing of visitor passes are of the appropriate type and produced with the minimum of delay using the MoD SISYS security database system

Ensuring all personal checks are undertaken i.e. a valid Naval Base or Military ID Security pass

Issuing permanent and temporary vehicle entry permits to visitors, military and MoD personnel, contractors and BAE Systems staff who present recognised passes and purpose of visit

Providing directions of buildings/locations around the Naval Base, to persons with approved passes

Processing basline personal security standard vetting applications for BAE contractors to enable access to the Naval Base

Providing support to security administrators in the following areas: filing, checking and delivery of correct information, camera permits, providing support in the absence of the administrator

Undertaking other duties and responsibilities within individual's capabilities that are reasonable and may be required from time to time

Your skills and qualifications as a Security Receptionist :

Reception or Administration experience

Microsoft Office Packages

Ideally have experience and understanding of working within an MOD and commercial environment
