Painter
We currently have a vacancy for a Painter at our site in Barrow in Furness.
As a Painter, you will be working on the M777 contract you will be part of a cutting edge team in operations, delivering a unique product to a high standard. You will be maintaining compartments in various stages of build through to completion
This role will give you the opportunity to work within part of the global BAE Systems organisation which is engaged in the development, delivery and support of advanced defence, electronics, security, information technology and aerospace systems in the air, on land and at sea. Operating in five continents, BAE Systems has seven home markets with customers and partners in over 100 countries.
Your main responsibilities as a Painter will involve:
Cleaning, masking and spraying of sub-assembly components
Paint mixing and spraying all types of industrial coatings
Working safely at all times, complying with Health and Safety and other relevant regulations and guidelines
Following the relevant instructions, drawings and any other Quality standards and specifications
Using the appropriate methods and techniques to manufacturer and install mechanical systems
Checking the completed activity to ensure that all operations have been completed to meet the required quality standards and specification
Working in accordance with specified procedures and instructions i.e. Risk Assessments & COSHH assessments
Being a part of a team to resolve and implement corrective actions against SHE issues with in the assembly area
Reporting any hazards, near misses and incidents in a timely manner in line with company procedures
Ensuring daily safety checks on equipment have been completed through daily process confirmations
Your skills and qualifications as a Painter:
Working in a spray shop environment is essential
Experience cleaning, masking and spraying of sub-assembly components is essential
Paint mixing and spraying all types of industrial coatings
