Manufacturing Technician

Would you like to be part of an exciting business unit, supporting the Production team in the manufacturing of our range of products? We currently have a vacancy for a Manufacturing Technician at our site in Towcester.

As a Manufacturing Technician, you will manufacture and develop a range of products and technologies at the Towcester facility. Typically this could cover a whole range of materials including composites, rubber, resin, paints and high temperature materials.

This role is a great opportunity to develop and expand across the business.

Your main responsibilities as a Manufacturing Technician will involve:

Producing a variety of standard products and Engineering Prototypes to an agreed production schedule through the use of defined manufacturing processes and current production plant and equipment

Using plant and equipment to compound, press and test rubber and resin based sheet materials

Produce and complete as required manufacturing and Engineering routing documentation via manual or electronic interface

Manufacturing composite component and shapes through the use of resin pre-impregnated fabrics

Extraction and Housekeeping tests weekly for an area

Operating plant and equipment and manufacturing products in areas of approved use

Your skills and qualifications:

Industrial experience in a mechanical/process/engineering environment

Mechanical and practical aptitude

Experience with polymers & composites in the aerospace / defence / automotive would be advantageous

Ability to follow manufacturing process documentation

You will cooperatively and collaboratively with others, to be part of a team and respect the opinions of others. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to build and maintain good relationships and work well under pressure.

Salary: £22,000 +
