Maintenance Fitter
We currently have a vacancy for a Maintenance Fitter at our site in Samlesbury.
As a Maintenance Fitter, you will be responsible for ensuring that the mechanical aspects of all production critical plant and equipment are maintained to maximise availability and minimise deterioration.
This role will provide you with an exposure to a variety of plant and equipment that incorporates the latest technologies and manufacturing processes. Also access to the latest maintenance processes, tools and techniques.
Your main responsibilities as a Maintenance Fitter will involve:
Diagnosing and repairing of mechanical, hydraulic and pneumatic failures in machine tools, plant and equipment, and their associated control systems and components
Recording details of breakdowns where necessary for future analysis
Ensuring that all work carried out to effect repair of complete equipment or discrete part is logged in line with current maintenance requirements
Working within a multi-disciplined group to optimise group performance
Participating in Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Installed Article Testing (IAT)
Assisting the maintenance planning team in preparation and setting up of Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) schedules
Assisting in the identification of critical spares/service packs
Conducting condition based monitoring on critical plant and equipment
Your skills and qualifications:
You will have completed a time served full Engineering Apprenticeship which has been formally certificated by a national Awarding Organisation and must include a Further Education component and a Competence component
Experience of working with a variety of machinery, plant and equipment
Experience of problem solving and root cause analysis of complex issues
Previous maintenance experience would be advantageous
