Logistics Planner

A challenging and exciting opportunity has arisen, as a Logistics Planner at RAF Coningsby.

The Industry Handover Point (IHP) is an essential part of the TyTAN enterprise, responsible for the management and movement of repairable assets to, and from, the off base repair agents.

This role will be responsible for the day to day operation of the repair asset management, ensuring unserviceable Typhoon assets are despatched in a timely manner to the associated repair agents.

This role may involve working late shifts.

Your main responsibilities as Logistics Planner will involve :

Generate the required paperwork to despatch unserviceable Typhoon assets to the relevant repair facility for overhaul or upgrade.

Updating specific databases with export control information to ensure compliance with export control regulations.

Packing and preparing hi-value items correctly to ensure there is no damage during transportation.

Loading and unloading of delivery vehicles, ensuring safety for both assets and team members.

Handling both Cryptographic and security classified equipment ensuring all relevant paperwork is completed correctly.

Driving of company vehicles around the on-base environment.

Liaise with all relevant support agencies as required.

Assist the IHP Supervisor during times of surge activity.

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential:

Logistics experience

A clean driving licence

Excellent problem solving skills

A basic knowledge of MoD and BAE Systems Inventory / Supply Chain Management techniques and principles

Experienced user of Microsoft Office suite

An awareness of Export Control and International Traffic in Arms Regulations

Desirable:

Goods inwards and outwards– experience

Awareness of (MJDI) Multiple Joint Deployed Inventory system

Awareness of (ADP) Automated Data Processing
