Learning and Development Advisor

Would you like to work on business critical programmes across the Submarine enterprise? We currently have a vacancy for a Learning and Development Advisor at our site in Barrow-In-Furness.

As a Learning and Development Advisor, you will be trusted to work autonomously in a small team dealing with the day to day activities of delivering key project deliverables against the challenging backdrop of competing projects.

With a business as diverse as BAE Systems and one which is in growth like Submarines there are always many opportunity for career development either within Learning and Development or the wider business.

Your main responsibilities as a Learning and Development Advisor will involve:

Delivering specific and targeted Learning & Development projects based on incoming demand from the business in particular

Supporting a key area within the Assurance areas of the business; SHE, Quality and Nuclear

Or Supporting the implementation of the principles of (Joint service provision) JSP 822 and DSAT (Defence System Approach to Training) and a bias towards technical/ engineering based training

Delivering key elements within specific work packages as projects, supporting the People Capability strategy

Adhering to the policies and processes aligned to Learning & Development governance both at a local level and across the broader corporate learning structure

Producing reports that meet customer and stakeholder needs

Your skills and qualifications as a Learning and Development Advisor:

Essential:

Learning & Development Consultancy skills including the ability to analyse business issues and design and implement appropriate solutions

CIPD/TAP (T raining Accreditation Programme ) Qualified or relevant equivalent

MS Office Toolset – Excel Outlook, PowerPoint, Word

Experience of working across all parts of the learning cycle

Ability to provide current best practice advice within the sphere of L&D

Desirable:

Experience of working in a complex and diverse learning organisation

Experience of working with a learning management system

Ability to analyse, interpret and make recommendations based on L&D data.

Understanding of JSP822 and DSAT

Experience of using basic project management tools to plan, manage and budget workload

You should have excellent written and verbal and non-verbal communication skills, which can be used to engage and work with multiple stakeholders both internal and external and at a variety of levels.

You should be able to work autonomously, to problem solve and have good attention to detail. You must be able to work within our high standards of safety, ethics and inclusive behaviours.

Salary: £34 739
