Lead Electromagnetics Engineer
Would you like to work within an interesting role supporting in the Air Sector? We currently have a vacancy for a Lead Electromagnetics Engineer at our site in Warton.
As a Lead Electromagnetics Engineer, you will be working within a close knit team of 15, supporting the testing environment. You will be involved in testing aircrafts, testing small and large samples. The Lead Electromagnetics Engineer will be required to transmit very big radio frequencies to see what happens along with some computational modelling.
This role will provide you with a wide range, working closely with multiple functions and multiples disciplines. You will be given the opportunity for exposure to a wide range of engineering disciplines and fields.
Your main responsibilities as a Lead Electromagnetics Engineer will involve:
Supporting your team in the delivery of the team objectives in accordance with time, cost and quality.
Supporting design and development of our products using EM modelling / measurement techniques
Support the maintenance and development of our capabilities (e.g. test facilities, IT infrastrure and IT toolsets)
Supporting the specification and procurement of new or replacement capabilities.
Support the provision of Electromagnetics specialist advice to the wider BAE Systems business.
Your skills and qualifications:
Degree in STEM related subject Physics, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Modelling, Systems Engineering
Additional relevant knowledge, experience and product expertise can offset the normal qualification requirements.
Essential
Ideally you will have a degree/ working towards a degree within industry in one of the following:
Physics, Electronics/Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Aerospace Engineering, Computational Modelling, Systems Engineering
Additional relevant knowledge, experience and product expertise can offset the normal qualification requirements.
Familiar with the overall systems engineering lifecycle
Possess a strong aptitude for technical problem-solving and decision-making.
Desirable
It is desirable that you will be familiar with IT Tools e.g. CAD systems, control software.
Familiar with electromagnetic principles.
0-2 years' experience is required.
