Security Officer - International Programmes & Services

We currently have a vacancy for a Security Officer at our site in Warton in our International Programmes & Services business (IP&S).

As an IP&S Security Officer, you will be working on MAI's future national and international programmes including Turkey and UCAS and helping to define the future of MAI. Accountable for ensuring the security of the International Programmes & Services relevant facilities, people, equipment and data in accordance with all applicable government, customer, contractual and business requirements.

This is a varied and diverse role in a flexible and agile environment that you can make your own. It is a very busy and challenging position where you will get involved in all aspects of security management across different tasks and programmes and where no two days are the same.

Your key responsibilities as an IP&S Security Officer will include:

Responsible to FP&S (Future Programmes & Services) Security Manager and the UCAS and Turkey contract leads for ensuring the security of the relevant facilities, people, equipment and data in accordance with all applicable government, customer, contractual and business requirements.

Implementing Security Management Plans which define the standards, best practice guidelines and approaches on managing security across multiple contracts.

Providing security support to ensure personnel understand their security responsibilities.

Provide awareness of the applicable Security Aspects Letter for each programme to the programme team and ensure compliance.

The creation and maintenance of Security Management Plans for specific work packages and tasks which ensures the protection of HMG and BAE Systems information and assets.

Maintaining segregation of UK, Non-UK nationals (both personnel and information)

Security point of contact for DSLOs in other FP&S facilities and DSLO cover during absences

Ensuring quarterly building access reviews, document musters and all other relevant audits are conducted to plan in FP&S facilities

Your skills and qualifications:

People management experience is essential

Understanding classifications, how to handle, how they need to be stored

Wide security background throughout the business

Excellent IT skills are essential

Experience in writing security management plans - can be trained

Experience with dealing with security management systems - can be trained
