Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Engineer
Would you like to be involved in the delivery of integrated logistics support (ILS) to the Type 45 Destroyer programme, one of the most high profile military ships of the Royal Navy? We currently have a vacancy for a Logistics Support Analysis Engineer at our site in Bristol.
As a Logistics Support Analysis Engineer, you will be working in the Type 45 ILS team, which is a central team delivering the complete ILS activity across the fleet of ships.
You will be involved in a programme that is regarded as a novel approach to ILS, which will set the standard for the upcoming support programmes on the Queen Elizabeth Aircraft Carriers and the Type 26 Combat Ship.
Your main responsibilities as a Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Engineer will involve:
Supplying specialist logistics support analysis advice as required by the Type 45 ILS teams, and the maintenance teams
Operating within the Type 45 LSA Team to create and maintain the configuration and audit trail requirements
Carrying out the analysis required to assess the impact of physical configuration changes on the ILS data
Analysing and assessing the impact of updated equipment supplier manuals and data-modules on the ILS plan
Interfacing with the Type 45 maintenance teams to resolve any in-service dataset issues
Interfacing with other internal engineering teams to manage the updates to the data in the maintenance management system
Provide help and direction to less experienced team members to support both their effective working and their development.
As a Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Engineer, your skills and qualifications must include:
Engineering background with supporting qualification in relevant field (HNC/ HND or equivalent)
Experience of applying the principals of logistics support analysis or integrated logistics support
Understanding of configuration management and data management
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
As a Logistics Support Analysis (LSA) Engineer, your skills and qualifications will ideally include:
Experience of relevant software such as Eagle, Windchill, and Access or similar systems
Experience in the use of maintenance management systems such as UMMS
Naval experience
