Hangar Support Assistant

Would you like to work alongside our team in Maintenance Support within On Aircraft Maintenance? We currently have a vacancy for a Hangar Support Assistant at our site in RAF Coningsby.

As a Hangar Support Assistant, your role will involve 1 week of driver duties, 1 week of floor loader duties, 1 week of wash team duties and 1 week per month night shift, which will involve floor loading and driving duties Shifts required will cover both Days 07:00 to 16:00 and Nights, 16:00 to 02:00

This role will provide you with the chance to work in a busy constantly changing environment, working with a wide range of stakeholders throughout the site where no two days are the same. In addition it is a good chance to get experience within a busy hangar environment

Your main responsibilities as a Hangar Support Assistant will involve:

Working as directed by the Support Team Supervisor, Maintenance Control (EMC) and Maintenance Team Leads.

Transportation of tools, Test equipment, ground equipment & personnel as required to meet the requirements of the Maintenance Plan

Movement of equipment by towing

Off Station driving tasks as required

Movement of ground support equipment as required within the maintenance facility

Daily husbandry duties as directed by EMC

Supporting LS including picking, storage & delivery of items for LS in support of maintenance requirements

Wash Station aircraft IAW current aircraft wash procedures

Maintaining aircraft wash documentation

Your skills and qualifications:

Essential

All successful applicants will be required to cover all three elements of the role( Driver, Floor Loading, Wash duties)

Able to carry out a significant level of manual handling

A full clean driving licence

Desirable

Previous Hangar experience

Salary: £16,457+
