Database Generation Systems Engineer

Would you like to play a key role in the simulator training of our aircraft crew at out brand new Integrated Training Centre (ITC)? We currently have vacancies for a Database Generation Systems (DBGS) Engineer's at various levels at our site in RAF Marham.

As a Database Generation Systems Engineer, you will be maintaining the data-bases for the Lightning II Pilot Training devices, the Full Mission Simulators (FMS) and Deployable Mission Rehearsal Trainers (DMRT).

This role will provide you with the opportunity to join the Lightning II program, a leading edge capability, as it enters into service with the Royal Air Force and Royal Navy.

Your main responsibilities as a Database Generation Systems Engineer will involve:

Managing the execution of multispectral and associated FMS data-base development

Ensuring that all planned data-base developments/ modifications and instillations are carried out on time and within the constraints of the operating programme under the direction of the Technical Lead

Being responsible for managing the DBGS engineering team

Being responsible for managing the associated database toolsets used to create and modify the data-bases

Being responsible for ensuring any operations are conducted within the appropriate security operating procedures

Your skills and qualifications as a Database Generation Systems Engineer:

Essential:


Background in 3D data-base generation from an engineering discipline

Experience in leading teams

Experience using Data Analysis Toolsets – Preferably Rockwell Collins visual system

General understanding on Simulators

Desirable:


Background in simulation systems- Preferably visuals

Experience working with Royal Air Force/ Royal Navy

Knowledge of 3D models and visuals
