Would you like to be part of a growing Import/Export team dealing with an interesting product line? We currently have a vacancy for an Export Administrator at our site in Glascoed.

As an Export Administrator, you will be part of the centre of excellence created to deal with the Import/Export activities and improve the standard of compliance across the business

This role will give you exposure to the wider business.

Your main responsibilities as an Export Administrator will involve:

Executing export requests from internal customers in accordance with the Business Unit and customer requirements and working with freight forwarders, international shipping companies and couriers, in accordance with company procedures

Preparing shipping documentation for goods and special documents for hazardous materials for shipment

Preparing documentation for letter of credit payment claims associated with export shipments and issuing of supplier declaration forms to identify any controlled items being purchased by the business

Check and authorisation of all tangible items leaving the business to ensure there are no US export control issue

Administration of internal systems: maintaining and filing all records of exports; ensuring freight forwarders, international shipping companies and couriers have acted in line with instructions

Input information into the Chamber of Commerce e-certs internet program to produce specific export documentation such as ATR, EUR1 and Certificate of Origin

Contact internal customers to obtain and verify weights and dimensions to arrange collection of their goods and be the point of contact for any queries regarding the shipment and contact relevant Freight Forwarder after shipment to obtain copy of the relevant single administrative document (SAD) and ensure accuracy of information entered

Your skills and qualifications as an Export Administrator:

A Dangerous goods qualification would be highly desirable

Knowledge of HMRC duty schemes such as IPR, OPR and End Use

A good awareness of Healthy and Safety issues

Strong literacy and numeracy skills

Knowledge of UK and US export controls would desirable

ERP experience is beneficial

Previous experience of international shipping of licensable goods would be advantageous

You will have meticulous attention to detail and be highly organised. You should have strong communication skills; both written and verbal.
